Brunello di Montalcino, Argiano

Note:

The 1999 Brunello di Montalcino opens to a dark garnet appearance with browning edges and bold concentration that has remained reasonably toned throughout the years. It shows jammy fruit aromas with prune, cassis and strawberry preserves. The mouthfeel is smooth and silky with an inherent earthiness on the finish that suggests it is far along on its evolutionary track. But it also doles out a good level of acidity that keeps it alive. Drink: 2014 2023.
