Chateauneuf du Pape, Beaucastel

Note:

“Super-ripe blackberry and cassis fruit dominate the 2000`s aromatics. Reminiscent of a fuller, beefier version of the 1985, this low acid, accessible Beaucastel is likely to be bottled earlier than normal according to Francois Perrin. A classic blend of 30% grenache, 30% mourvedre, 10% syrah, 10% counoise with the remainder misc varietals, this deep ruby purple coloured 2000 possesses a sweet nose dominated by black fruits, loads of glycerin, full body, and superb purity. It will be atypically delicious young, yet will last 15-20 years.”
