Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos St Jacques, Armand Rousseau Pere et Fils

Note:

A ripe but reasonably cool combination reflects notes of red and dark berry aromas where background aromas of earth, forest floor and discreet spice nuances. The exceptionally ripe, concentrated and powerful large-scaled flavors that coat the palate with
sappy dry extract, all wrapped in a grippy, background and slightly warm finish. This is a very good 2003 but I confess that it is not what I personally look for in fine Clos St. Jacques. I would further note however that I have had some bottle variation with this
wine as a bottle tried in 2017 was sufficiently bretty as to be undrinkable, at least for me.
