Gevrey-Chambertin VV, Heresztyn-Mazzini

Note:

This displays plenty of Gevrey character with its overtly sauvage aromas of warm earth, plum and humus. There is an abundance of old vine sap present on the medium-bodied flavours that buffers the moderately firm tannic spine on the firm and mildly rustic finale. I like the overall depth and this should also be approachable young yet reward 6 to 9 years of cellaring too. Recommended.
