Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru, Lucien Le Moine

Note:

Very tight, high pitched aromas of peach, ginger, white pepper and crushed stone. Then almost shockingly rich and round on the palate, with compelling sucrosite to the ripe stone fruit and mineral flavours. Has the silkiness and deceptive accessibility of a great young Chevalier but really shows its class and reserve on the extremely long, fine-grained aftertaste. Not quite as penetrating as a barrel sample a year ago, but I suspect this wine will soon go into a shell in the bottle.
