Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Murgers, Hudelot Noellat

Note:

Tasted blind at Flint Wines’ 2007/2012 Nuits Saint-Georges tasting in London. The 2012 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers was one of the standouts of this blind horizontal tasting. It has a crisp and well-defined bouquet with brambly red berry fruit, a touch of undergrowth and pressed rose petals. This is one of the most elegant wines of the lineup. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe tannin, crisp acidity, just a dash of black pepper and a cohesive, very focused and appetizing finish. It just “reeks” of class and it comes strongly recommended.
