Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses, Robert Groffier Pere et Fils

Note:

A deepish solid purple with at firsrt a slightly murky mulberry note to the nose. The palate is much more exciting with that sweet hedonistic mouth-filling fruit which is so typical of Amoureuses. There is just the right level of acidity and a fine persistent finish. Possibly a slight volatility, but below the threshold of interfering with the wine. A little bit of sweet and sour rhubarb. Complex and currently ungainly but there could very well be a significant upside. Enormous energy at the finish.
