Puligny Montrachet, Les Referts, 1er Cru, Fichet

Note:

A discreet touch of wood toast and full-on reduction renders the nose hard to evaluate. There is the usual generosity of a typical Referts along with excellent complexity to the intense, balanced, long and very dry finish. I like the depth of material and there is a firm but ripe acid spine that maintains good focus and should enable this to age and improve for the better part of a decade.
