Bâtard-Montrachet, Grand Cru, Gagnard-Delagrange
Note:
The 2008 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has quite a rich bouquet, possibly with a bit of botrytis, but still attractive with scents of manuka honey, passion fruit and light brioche aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly viscous texture, lower in acidity than some 2008 whites but with sufficient freshness on the finish. I wonder if this was picked a day too late? Nevertheless it is still enjoyable. Tasted at Lorne restaurant in London.
