Generous wood stops just short of dominating the nose of spiced plum, pungent earth and forest floor characters. The juicy yet powerful and muscular larger-scaled flavors evidence very good power and drive on the much more structured, youthfully austere and impressively long finale. This will need a few years to eat the wood, but it should in time produce a textbook Champonnets.
