A deft but not invisible application of wood sets off airy and attractively spicy aromas of plum, earth and a hint of violet. The delicious and quite generously proportioned middleweight flavors possess a relatively refined mouthfeel thanks to the fine-grained tannins supporting the youthfully austere, moderately compact and lingering finale. This will need a few years to unwind but it should be quite good in time.
