Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, Taupenot-Merme

Note:

A bright and not too deep crimson to ruby colour. A lifted perfumed red fruit with a volatile edge. This settles down nicely on the palate, delivering an intensity of red fruit which has retained its freshness. Fine persistence, a good example of Charmes, though some may find the light volatility awkward. I do like the finish though. Drink from 2030-2040. Tasted Sep 2024.
