Bonnes Mares Grand Cru, Francois Bertheau

Note:

Discreet but not invisible wood sets off the more deeply pitched aromas of menthol, cassis and once again plum liqueur. The supple yet quite concentrated large-scaled flavors are rich to the point of being opulent, all wrapped in a very firm and built-to-age finish. This muscular effort is at once refreshing but very, very serious, indeed it is not really in the Bertheau style. With that said, it`s a terrific wine.
