The 2019 Pinot Noir Running Fence Vineyard Cuvée Catherine is magical. Singular and detailed, it unfolds slowly on the nose: iodine and seaweed give way to pomegranate, cranberry, woodsmoke, lavender and wild fennel aromas. The palate is seamless and pure, its dynamic flavors framed by powdery tannins and vibrant, lip-smacking acidity, and it has a hauntingly long finish. It will be long lived in the cellar. Erin Brooks
