The 2021 Pinot Noir Wendling Vineyard Block E, from vines planted in 2010, has opened and become more expressive since I tasted it in early 2023. It unfolds aromas of blueberry and blackberry with nuances of charcuterie, aniseed, Angostura bitters and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate offers supple, detailed fruit, powdery tannins, vibrant acidity and a very long, ultra spicy finish. 598 cases produced. Erin Brooks
