Very mild reduction moderately reduces the expressiveness of the honeysuckle, white peach and pear suffused nose. There is unusually good underlying tension to the precise and lightly mineral suffused medium weight plus flavors that culminate in an almost painfully intense, driving and tautly muscular finish where a touch of wood surfaces. Within the context of the appellation, this is a powerful and unusually linear Bienvenues that has no trouble standing up to the Batard in terms of intensity if not size and weight, something that is rarely the case.
