Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, Fourrier

Note:

A blend of all their 16 plots, one third each from across the D974, by the Grands Crus and to the north. The average age is 60-70 years. Full purple, quite a dark fruit with some reduction. More perfume comes out behind. A rich concentrated dark raspberry fruit, no doubting the ripeness of the juice and with good concentration. The tannins are refined and there is enough acidity. Also a touch of salinity. Drink from 2025-2030. Tasted Dec 2022.
