Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, Marchand-Tawse

Note:

Here the brooding nose grudgingly reveals both upper and lower register aromas that include pomegranate, poached plum, dark cherry, earth and a hint of the sauvage. There is again very good volume to the seductively rich and textured flavors that possess a velvety mouthfeel, all wrapped in a mocha-tinged finish. This firmly structured effort is definitely on the riper side but not so much so that it loses focus.
