A blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 15% Mourvedre aged in tank as well as demi-muids, the 2010 Vacqueyras Vieilles Vignes comes from the estate’s oldest vines, averaging 60 years of age. Although more compact, tight and reserved, there is a lot going on here, but the wine appears to have shut down following its recent bottling. Cellar it for 1-2 years and enjoy it over the following decade. RP
