Gigondas, Dom du Cayron

Note:

While I loved the 2006 Gigondas, and I`d happily drink bottles today, this funky, exotic red won`t be for everyone. Mint, cassis, currants, leafy green herbs, spice and funky earth all emerge from the glass of this medium-bodied, elegant Gigondas that shows the more wild, feral side of the appellation. Like all of these cuvees, it`s from tiny yields (26 hectoliters per hectare) and is 70% Grenache, 15% Cinsault, 14% Syrah and the rest Mourvedre, aged all in foudre. JD
