Rosa dei Frati, Ca dei Frati
Note:
Ok. So, this wine I am pretty sure is ‘dry’ analytically, but it is much nicer, riper and rounder than an awful lot of Roses. Flavours run the gamut through kiwi, pineapple, red currant and wild strawberry and (for Rosé) there is a gorgeous textural weight in the mouth that so many lack. Stick this in a line-up of Provencal Roses (as I have done) and this is much the nicer drink. It’s more generous, more likeable.
