Puligny Montrachet, Les Caillerets, 1er Cru, Hubert de Montille
Note:
A hint of reduction knocks down the expressiveness of the nose somewhat though it cannot completely hide the pretty green fruit and white flower aromas. An almost invisible touch of wood highlights the restrained, racy and admirably pure middle weight flavors that possess a cuts-like-a-knife precision on the lemony and intensely mineral-inflected finish. Lovely and I quite like this though note that some may find it a bit too austere at this early stage.
