Pure class, with fabulous notes of black raspberries, spiced meats, bacon fat and pepper, the 2014 Côte Rôtie Lancement is medium-bodied, beautifully concentrated, layered and impeccably balanced. It`s about as textbook as they come (even though it was aged 20 months in 50% new French oak), has no hard edges, ripe, present tannin and a great finish. Bravo! JD
