The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Etelois, which is 100% de-stemmed, has a tight nose at first, dark berry fruit, hints of star anis and orange rind as the aromatics broaden out with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with powdery tannins. The acidity lends tension and a lovely white pepper and sage note enhancing the finish. Good potential.
